Life Saving Rules
Life Saving Rules (LSR) are a set of guidelines which remind staff of the measures they need to take to protect their own safety , assets , environment , etc . LSR have proven their value in preventing fatal accidents. They have been created to keep our people and the people who work for us safe. LSR have been issued after analyzing serious incidents and risks within oil sector relevant organizations and have developed nine Life-Saving Rules to help prevent accidents. However, Life-Saving Rules are not intended to address all risks and hazards in the oil and gas industry; they are meant to draw attention to the activities most likely to lead to a fatality, and the life-saving actions over which an individual has control.
Life-Saving Rules are among the most effective techniques for preventing fatalities. they have proved effective due to their simplicity, relevance, and practicality

I establish and obey barriers and exclusion zones
I never walk under a suspended load

I tie off 100% to approved anchor points while outside a protected area.
Confined Space: Obtain authorization before entering a confined space
I confirm the atmosphere has been tested and is monitored.
